Audio Visual Systems for Visitor Attractions

The use of audio visual equipment within a visitor attraction can really "bring it to life" for visitors and aid their understanding and enjoyment. We work with our clients and design and install a bespoke system that meets both their requirements and budget. We can provide innovative Audio Visual systems such as:

  • Sound Systems - to enable commentaries, information and background 'effect noise' to be heard clearly around a building, OR in specific areas with automatic sensor operation. We are also able to install induction loop systems.
  • Interactive Touch Screens - Visitors touch the icon to hear a narration or access more detailed information. We will also assist with content creation.
  • Projection Systems - To show PowerPoint presentations, pictures, video or live footage to your visitors on a large screen.
  • Digital Signage - Show essential information on your attraction, such as prices, times of tours/shows, details of forthcoming events. This information can be easily updated when required.
  • Audio Trails - Provide interesting and stimulating audio trails with weather-proof voice boxes.

APi Communications often install systems in historic and listed buildings, so we are accustomed to providing unobtrusive solutions.

APi Communications fitted a multi-speaker surround sound system, lighting control, including strobe, and a snow generator to bring a Victorian street to life! The sounds and voices really animate the mannequin displays to the delight of all present, with APi periodically refreshing the content for verisimilitude.

Audio Visual Room at Berry Head Visitor Centre

Berry Head Visitor Centre

An immersive Audio Visual room in the visitor centre with surround sound and projection, which plays a regularly changing programme of films. There's also a general introductory film which projects onto three walls, gradually building a moving 'scrapbook' of stories about Berry Head.
