Touch Screen Technology in Bristol's Oldest Building
APi communications worked with Museum interpretation experts 'Imagemakers' to provide a touch screen information kiosk for visitors looking to explore the long history, and current day use, of St. James Priory. This must surely be one of the most historic religious buildings hidden away in the commercial centre of Bristol.
Our PC based system has a closed version of the priory website running on it, and the multi touch screen allows navigation without the clutter of mouse and keyboard and thus achieves that pre-requisite of any public utility, a "user-friendly" interface.
An audio system allows for playback of embedded video clips which bring both the building and the surrounding city to life.
